HI i'am very new to this but please can anyone tell me why my marrows and courgette plants were covered in white mould ,and yealded hardly anything ,they started to grow then got to about 2 inches went yellow and dropped off

I had the same problem on some of mine, in my case they were in a sheltered spot and I felt it was the humidity allowing the spores to settle. The other windblown bed is fine.

THANK YOU NEIL AND RUSTY THAT DOES EXPLAIN THE HUMID THING AS THEY ARE PLANTED BY A LARGE TREE AND IT GETS VERY SHELTERED IN THAT AREA,I WILL PLANT THEM ELSEWHERE NEXT YEAR .

Hi lolevans, what I'm going to tell you is illegal. If it hasn't got the EU stamp on it, it's illegal. For mildew on cubbits use, 30% milk and 70% water spray. Another home made brew is 5grams Bicarbonate of Soda to 1 litre of water, again shake well and use as a spray.
