Retired from corporate life but not retiring. Now growing & selling orchids. Ride horses and play the piano, but not at the same time.

Got the plot in Rotherham in early August 2006. I think that was the first time I had ever picked a gardening tool up.
I wish I had done it years ago it is so rewarding and good fun

Hi, if you grow or want to grow organic vegetables & fruit then this is the site for you. I have an allotment which I keep chemical free, partly because it's healthier but also because the produce tastes so good, especially when freshly picked. All the experts say to keep the time from picking to cooking short with sweetcorn, asparagus and peas, but it is true of everything

I have an allotment with mum which we both work. In our first full year we were entered into best newcomers plot of the district and have won it. Coming to the end of our first full year and its been fantastic. Married with 2 grown up boys. Just turn 44 years of age and spend all my weekends on the plot.

Got my plot March '08 but grew up helping (hindering probably) my dad in the garden with the veg. Loving it. Resenting work as it steals my digging time!
