Got the plot in Rotherham in early August 2006. I think that was the first time I had ever picked a gardening tool up. I wish I had done it years ago it is so rewarding and good fun

Hi, I have 2 plots on a small allotment site run by the parish council in a small village in South Derbyshire. When I first took on a plot there were only 2 other allotmentiers. Now all 14 plots are occupied. The downside is that the workrate has gone down as there's alot of leaning on forks, chatting. Water is a problem, there is no supply on site, and I have to take it all down there in 25litre carriers.
